“Wonderful small group tour with Luciano Leone. I think we got lucky and got assigned to the best tour guide . He told us so much about the history and life (and tragic death) of the residents of Herculaneum. The tour was well-paced and we were shown so many small details of the excavation during our tour. Go to the museum afterwards to see the jewelry and furniture recovered from the site. Well worth taking a tour - esp if you get Luciano (he is quite entertaining).”

“My family really loved it! The staff were all really helpful and the audio was easy to use, although sometimes a bit confusing when describing where to look but you soon get the hang of it. The actual attraction was amazing we wandered around for about 4 hours, we took our time as there is more to see than you think. the terrain is all cobble stones and some steep steps to get in and around but also lots of olaces just to sit down and enjoy the vistas. Glad we went earlier as the crowds are less and it slowly got busier. Some nice places to eat a packed…”

Vesuvius but the weather did not cooperate and we were not able to see anything - but that was not the fault of the tour company. The guide on the bus was excellent, but the bus was packed and the seats were small.”
